When creating the interior of a one-room apartment of 37 square meters. m. designers did not have to resort to large-scale redevelopment. The kitchen area was increased by combining the toilet with a bathroom. A full-fledged sleeping place was placed in the living room due to the competent zoning: the sleeping area was separated from the room by a light partition, which did not visually reduce the room. The result is a comfortable space where you can spend time with your family and friends.
The basis for the interior design of the apartment was a regular hexagon. Geometry defined colors - the honeycomb cell has such a shape, respectively, and the colors of honey and wax were chosen to decorate the apartment. They added turquoise and its shades - blue and green, but they were used in doses, only as accents, to refresh the situation.
In order not to increase costs, the project used almost all pieces of furniture from IKEA, excluding the “honeycomb” partition and cabinets for the entrance area. They were ordered according to sketches developed by designers - thus it was possible to maximize the use of free space for arranging storage places.
For reasons of practicality and because of the limited budget for finishing almost all the rooms in the interior of a one-room apartment of 37 square meters. m. stopped at the surface painting.
In the bathroom, the hexagonal “honeycomb” tile covers the floor and goes to a part of the walls - near the bathtub and the washbasin, the other surfaces are simply painted. The tiles have different shades of the same color and visually change the perception of space, making it more spacious.
In the entrance area and in the cooking area, the floor is also tiled, the design of which resembles a carpet pattern. In the remaining areas, the floor covering is a honey-colored laminate.
