About decoupage tights

The word decoupage literally means "cutting out." In modern times there are many of its directions using virtually any material - leather, napkins, fabrics, paper, wooden and plastic beads. All this is glued to the base - a variety of objects, surfaces.

Decoupage bottles using tights will not cause much difficulty, even in children. The glassware is beautifully wrapped with a stocking, covered with paint on top, varnish from a balloon, various beads and ribbons are glued up.

  • rustic;
  • Provence;

Design options

The most common options for gift and interior bottles:

  • New Year's;
  • wedding - the bride and groom;
  • set "tulips";
  • to "March 8", "February 23";
  • for anniversaries (with memorable dates), etc.

The basis for decoupage are empty or full bottles, bottles, bottles, as well as vases, decanters, glass cans. Plastic containers are used less frequently, as it is inconvenient to glue on them, and they themselves are not durable enough.

An interesting gift for the wedding will be two bottles of champagne, decorated in the form of a bride and groom, and there is a lot of room for creativity to choose a “bridal outfit” from pantyhose. The composition of a lady in a hat and a gentleman in a suit is a souvenir from the same series.

Vintage bottles with photos pasted on them will perfectly fit into the Provence-interior. Glassware decorated with roses rolled out of pantyhose will suit the romantic design of the room. If you unzip an unzipped zipper to a bottle, and coins in its slit, then with proper coloring, it will suit the high-tech style, industrial, loft, etc.

Required materials and tools

For work you will need:

  • bottle;
  • degreaser is a nail polish remover, acetone, alcohol;
  • tights - best of all big;
  • scissors;
  • cotton pads, sponge;
  • PVA or Moment glue;
  • varnish for decoupage;
  • tassels - thick and thin;
  • acrylic paints - usual and in cans;
  • napkins with pictures for decoupage;
  • Accessories - beads, caps, sparkles, shells, peas or beans.

It is better to use glass containers of a simple, straightforward form - it is much easier to work with it.

Decorating bottles

Decoupage decor is chosen any - from any "trash" to pretentious, volume, expensive. The last option is for wealthy amateurs and specialists. Capacities decorated in different ways look good in the interior, their process is extremely fascinating, sometimes quite laborious, and the result is always unpredictable. The folds formed from kapron can be of arbitrary shape, in one way or another depicting wonderful flowers, folds of clothes, fantasy draperies.

Before decorating, remove all labels from glass containers by soaking them in water for several hours, then degrease its surface with alcohol and acetone.

Lady in hat

The most popular hack and bottle tricks are the lady in the hat.

To perform the work will require:

  • bottle - preferably with a screw cap;
  • PVA glue;
  • glue "Titan" or thermogun with glue;
  • scissors;
  • metal can lid;
  • any nylon pantyhose;
  • large beads or whole peas;
  • paints in cylinders.

How it's done:

  • “leg” is cut off from tights, well soaked with white glue;
  • after it you need to put it on the bottom of the bottle - to the "hangers", beautifully fold the folds;
  • hat will serve as a cover for seaming;
  • a piece of the second stocking, pre-impregnated with glue, is put on the cover;
  • the ends of the stocking are twisted in the form of a "bun" on the top of the newly made hat;
  • the edges of the lid need to be bent beautifully; leave the bottle and cap to dry for a day or two;
  • all that remains of the pantyhose is cut into strips that are "collected" into a string to produce assemblies;
  • from the assemblies form "roses", which are also impregnated with white glue;
  • when all parts are dry, the "roses" are glued to the cap, the "dress" of the bottle with the help of a heat gun;
  • peas are made earrings, beads;
  • screwed bottle cap is glued to the bottom of the hat;
  • the structure is assembled, covered with two layers of paint;
  • It turned out a gorgeous bottle-lady.

Vintage decoupage

Vintage decoration - is the design of the object in such a way that it seemed "old." When using this technique, the bottle is decorated with special pictures, cute "antique" photos, etc.

To perform the decor in this technique will need:

  • decoupage napkins with any images;
  • acrylic primer paint;
  • foam sponge;
  • glass packaging itself;
  • alcohol or nail polish remover;
  • textured contour;
  • PVA glue.

How to do:

  • the surface of the bottle is necessarily degreased to keep the paint well;
  • then, using a sponge, apply a primer when it dries - a layer of white paint;
  • the napkin is preferably so wide that it can be completely wrapped around the bottle;
  • The top edge of the napkin neatly breaks off, it should turn out slightly not even - it will come out more beautifully;
  • after that, it is necessary to separate the layer of the napkin, on which there is a drawing, to glue it onto glassware - the drawing is pressed against the paint that has not yet dried out, and PVA glue is applied on top with a brush;
  • when everything is dry, the contours of the design are painted with a sponge, the construction is varnished and - done!

Combined bottle design

An even more interesting option is to design using a combination of tights and napkins for decoupage. In this case, the picture from the napkin is “transferred” to a partially primed, painted bottle, while the rest is put on a stocking. The image from the napkin as it "peeps" out of the window. You can use several pictures - it is especially convenient to do this on large, flat bottles. Then all the places where you plan to place the images are primed, tights are glued around - to decorate large bottles, you need two or three or more stockings. The design is covered with paints, varnishes. During their application, the main thing is not to paint with paint the picture itself.

Extra Decor

As an additional decor, they use anything they like - home-made flowers, roses, beads, cereals, rhinestones, coins and much more. For example, a piggy bank is made using tights, a short iron zipper, and any coins. You will also need glue - PVA and "Titan", scissors. It is better to take the biggest tights - so many folds will come out, they will be more interesting. One stocking is cut off, soaked with PVA glue, put on the bottle, dried. With the help of "Titan", unzipped zipper is carefully glued into the folds. The design is covered with several layers of different paint from cans, after which coins are glued into the zipper slit. If, instead of coins at the same place, you glue pebbles, beads, shiny rhinestones previously painted with bright nail polishes, you will get a piggy bank with "precious stones". Rosettes can be stitched, glued to a bottle, previously wrapped with nylon, in any order - their arrangement looks spiraling nicely, especially on “thick” containers.

Conclusion

Decoupage is an interesting, fascinating activity. Crafts made in such a way from bottles, tights, and other decorative materials are made easily, and then they please the eye for a long time. Self-made things are now very popular, each of them is unique and keeps in itself a piece of the soul of the one who made it. With the help of simple objects and fantasy, a real masterpiece is created that can be used to decorate both the interior of the room and any holiday table.
